Soren Pietzcker is an attorney at law and a partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek in Hamburg, Germany. He works in the Intellectual Property and Advertising Law department and as member of the firm’s data protection taskforce he works on data privacy matters, especially relating to advertising issues.

Mr Pietzcker writes and lectures on Intellectual Property issues, especially trademark law, as well as advertising law, unfair competition law, and data privacy law. He is a regular speaker at the annual confrences of the BAA and the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance (GALA). He recently wrote the chapter on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the first-ever global guide on the impact of privacy laws on marketing and advertising, published by GALA and IAA.

As an intellectual property lawyer he focuses on advising clients in the manufacturing industry as well as in the service industry including advertising agencies on all aspects of advertising law, unfair competition law, trademark law, and other aspects of intellectual property protection. This includes the responsibility for trademark portfolios as well as trademark infringement litigation.

Mr. Pietzcker also clears ad campaigns and sweepstake rules for international agencies and does transactional work in intellectual property matters.
