As a new, independent professional social platform focuses on media, marketing, tech and regulation topics, having built this global community, we find it’s important to deal with the most urgent and important topics in the media and online platform regulation in real time.
When some of our latest members raised the topic related to the latest news on social media giants silencing Donald Trump on their platforms, we quickly invited a few members for this conversation “Should gatekeepers silence a US president?”
It’s important to emphasize that this is NOT a pro-Trump discussion and it’s not even party political in nature – the point is to simply hear what experts from the digital, media and competition industries have to say about what this phenomenon means, what power gatekeepers can exercise and what concerns and opportunities it raises for regulators, platforms, media players and marketers.
The expert panel will be a diverse group of professionals including
- Oliver Bretz, partner at Euclid Law,
- Kinga Incze, founder of Mediaspace, Whitereport Global Limited
- Stephen Kinsella, EU Lawyer, Specialist Partner at Flint Global, founder of Clean Up The Internet
- Mohammad J Sear, EY Associate Partner, Digital Gov. & Public Sector Advisory Services, MENA
- Jay Modrall, partner at Norton Rose, Fulbright's Brussels Office
- Krisztina Rozgonyi, Policy and regulatory expert - media and communication, Assistant Professor University of Vienna
- Lubos Kuklis, Board Member at European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services
- Richard Sambrook, chairman of DMA Media Group and Professor & Director at Center for Journalism at Cardiff University
- Phil McCauley, Chief Executive, First Fixation, The Global Digital Rights Platform & Non-Executive Director of Mediaspace.global
Chaired by Hamish Sandison, international lawyer, dual qualified in the US and UK & Chairman of Mediaspace.global.
