Extensive reforms of Germany’s competition law came into force on January 19, 2021 as a result of the 10th ARC-amendment. The innovations of the ARC Digitalisation Act, as it is commonly known, focus on modernising Germany’s antitrust law to take account of rapidly increasing digitalisation of the economy, especially in respect of abuses of dominance by platforms and other digital companies.
