Alphabet now accounts for just under one-half (48.1%) of global online advertising spend, according to a WARC Data analysis of the company's latest reports.

Why it matters

The parent company of Google and YouTube is the largest media owner in the world and continues to outpace the wider ad market. Google Search alone accounts for over a third of all online advertising spend.
